It is my understanding that Anthem is making some major changes that are going to reduce benefits and ABA therapy for children with autism. They have new rates for ABA therapy providers which are a 43% rate cut. Also, Anthem is just about insisting that autistic children that are school age simply attend school during the day, rather than continue with full time ABA therapy. I have a child that will be 6 in a few months, so I know we will be a target for this reduction in ABA therapy hours. Can you provide any resources or advice? Thank you.

Cathy, This is a very complicated statement...there are a lot of factors around ABA therapy and Anthem. If you'd like to get more information about your specific situation let me know (dana@inautism.org) and I will do my best to help. I do believe that Anthem has the best of intentions, and anything we can do to help get a resolution or explanation, we'll do!
